My children grow and develop so rapidly that I wish sometimes I could pause time just for a moment. Just as their is developmental stages and phases, so are their toys.
I find they only can play with a certain toy for so long, till they get bored or outgrow it. But what if there is still life in those toys?
I find boxing my toys into categories, rotating them around and bringing them out to play once a week, gives them a new fresh toy to play with every single day.
But the biggest game changer I have with my kids is giving them a fresh look on a toy.
We made out of paddlepop sticks, houses for our little people collection. This not only revamped the excitement out of this set of toys, but also got us constructing houses for learning. Our walls were made out of squares, roof triangles and the doors rectangles. This activity also gave us spatial awareness in placing paddlepop sticks side by side to make the roof.

Ignite your children’s learning by creating art and craft to mix with their toy box for the day. This will soar their imagination to greater heights.
It will also give them a sense of ownership, of what they created. They will feel satisfaction in completing a task and confidence to try new things. It will also help children with lack of concentration to expand, as the activity goes from making, to creating, to playing.
See what you can come up with to revamp the toys you already have with your kids.
